Create an API key

Connect FairKeep to an outside tool with a scoped key — including AI assistants that speak MCP.

1. 1API keys and MCP access are on the Vendor plan.
2. 2Go to Settings -> API Keys.
3. 3Click to create a key and give it a name you will recognise later — the name is how you tell two keys apart when revoking one.
4. 4Tick only the scopes that tool needs: Events read or write, Reports read, Applications read, Crew read or write. A key can do nothing you have not ticked.
5. 5Copy the key immediately. It is shown once and cannot be retrieved afterwards — if you lose it, delete it and make another.
6. 6Documents are deliberately not available to API keys at all. Paperwork stays behind a signed-in session with a role attached to it.
7. 7Delete a key the moment a tool stops needing it. Deleting takes effect at once.
